2014 The Afloat Project

The Afloat Project, June 2014, was a flood and disaster  recovery project for Bundaberg
and affected surrounding regions.
Creative Regions commissioned Artisean to create four major arts
projects for four regions. Fifteen initial ‘weaving with weeds’
classes were held with over 150 participants.
The final four arts projects included:

  • Razorbeak’ the Wedgetail eagle, conceived by Lowmead school students
  • Bottle Tree for Nth Burnett (Gayndah and Mundubberah)
  • Umbrella’s for Maryborough region
  • Sailing Boat for Bundaberg

All projects were donated back to their respective communities.
