This project combined large scale lycra screen shield installations (Kris Martin and team), 15 traditional inspired but new Nth QLD Indigenous shield designs (UMI ARTS artists- Paul Bong, Sam Anning and Bernie Singleton Jr.) and projection arts (Paul Barron). The project was delivered through Kuranda Roots Festival and Big Talk One Fire event (as part of CIAF). It showcased the amazing Indigenous traditional shield designs of Nth QLD in an innovative and powerful way. A dance was developed and performed as part of the installations.
